There are a few rules that must be followed in order to upload files.

1. Each single file must be under 2GB.

2. To send larger files you must split your upload into multiple files.

3. All file names must have an extension at the end for example .mp3, aif, .wav, .mid, .doc, .zip, .sit.

4.
If you want to upload or download a single file that is larger than 2GB and you're having problems it is probably because of your internet service provider. I recommend using CyberDuck an FTP client. Go to the CyberDuck Tutorial page for more information.

Why is there a 2GB limit for files?

Each one of us gets our internet access from an internet service provider or ISP like Comcast, Cox or AT&T. Each ISP has different restrictions on how big a file can be uploaded through their gateway. The majority have their limit set at 2GB. This restriction is only through internet browsers and not FTP clients. Another restriction is that most ISP’s have a 10 minute window for file transfers.

File Compression

For a file compression program for Windows use Winzip. In Windows Vista zip is built in but for earlier Windows OS you will need to get Winzip.

On Mac OS X file compression is built in. All you have to do is select your files and right click or control click and select compress items.

FTP Access

For FTP access go to the contact page and send us an email request and we will send the information you will need to log in with a FTP client. For a FTP client I recommend CyberDuck for Mac and Windows. It is very easy to use and configure. We have a tutorial on Cyberduck to help you get aquatinted with this software on the CyberDuck Tutorial page.
